This high quality instrument has everything the hobbyist could want. To start, it offers 4 different magnifications built-in. This unique optical device has a fixed main lens, a pivoting lens right behind it and an out-side loupe. Magnifications of 1.8X, 2.3X, 3.7X and 4.8X are achieved by pivoting the inner lens up or down, and swinging the loupe on or off the eyeway. Working distances of 1-1/2" to 10" are possible. To achieve ultimate viewing, there are two independent work-directed lights on each side of the magnifier. The visor section is designed to fit very near the forehead, cutting out ambient light, still allowing the headband to be tilted up. The swing-down loupe can be moved from the right to the left eye with a screwdriver. This durably constructed tool has a hook-and-loop type headband. Requires 4 AAA batteries (not included).
