The Proton PRO features a single high-power 2W Cree LED to produce an incredible 1,000+ candle power (approximately 115 max lumens)* of white light, powered by a single AA battery. One AA battery will power the Proton for approximately 1.5 hours at full power or up to 250 hours at reduced brightness. A smaller red LED provides an optional low-power secondary beam (12 candle power). The digital circuitry provides intuitive one-button access to full-range brightness control and safety strobe functions for both the primary and secondary beam. Features four safety strobe modes: slow, medium, fast and SOS, as well as signal and morse code. Takes any AA size Lithium, NiMH Rechargeable, Alkaline, NiCad or standard Carbon battery.
*Light output will vary somewhat depending on the type of battery used. Lithium AA batteries will provide the highest light output, however we recommend rechargeable NiMH batteries for cost-effective frequent use.

DEMO MODE: The Proton PRO is shipped in a "demo" mode, which will turn the light off automatically after several seconds (to protect from being turned on and left on while sitting on a store shelf). For first-time use, press and hold the button for approximately 20 seconds (until the light turns off) to disable this demo mode.
