A New design 20mm Sensor Brush™ and a 20mm SBF brush for 1.3x field-of-view magnification cameras, including the Canon EOS-1D and EOS-1D Mark II. The brush is roughly the vertical width of the sensor in these models.
Sensor Brush™ lifts and removes the dust particles away from the surface eliminating the risk of scratches. The Sensor Brush™ also works like a vacuum cleaner by lifting the dust instead of misplacing it.
SBF or (sensor brush fan style) has a single row of filament that is thinner and lighter than regular Sensor Brush". It is used in the following situations:
- When there are one or two spots on the sensor (used as Touch Up brush) or
- when the canned air is not accessible, so the SBF can be charged with a simple bulb blower or
- more importantly, is used on the Mirror and Focusing optics. As it is easier and has thinner handle to safely remove all the specs from these areas. Although the specks in these areas do not show in the final image, but cleaning will make the sensor stay clean longer.
