Poor choice of cushioning material IMEO

I was hoping to see in the description that the choice for cushioning on the grip was urethane and not pvc. I am afraid that Xuron made a made a poor choice in the design that was most certainly to be a quality tool. Aside from chemical resistance, in which urethane beats vinyl hands down, pvc foam will degrade over tome to the point a disappointing failure (ever have pvc foam get tacky a few years into use?) I am a urethane and vinyl polymer chemist who has formulated both chemistries for decades. Urethane precursor liquids chemically reacts forming a foamed urethane solid. PVC resin absorbs liquid plasticizers under heat conditions. Later in the life of the product these liquids along with any added liquid extenders can (and do) exude out. These cutting tools will probably satisfy folks without incident. Just beware that issues can occur down the line.

Very comfortable

I recently purchased 2 pairs of the Xuron Plus Series - one 2mm and one 3mm short nose for chainmaille. I am very impressed with the improvement in the grips. They are very comfortable to use. I feel that the design reduces hand strain, while the pliers are the excellent quality I have come to expect from Xuron products. I plan on upgrading my other pliers to the Xuron Plus Series.
