Battery Door Canon AE-1

The color doesn't match at all. It looks like a cheaply made part. Also true because it doesn't fit right either. The latch isn't made to spec with the old one so it's hard to open and close. Shipping took a long time. Not very happy but it's better than no door.

These are the best battery doors I've come across. I like these even better than the orginal Canon doors. Good tight fit and I've never had one come back. I've been repairing AE-1's since they came out, way back when.

It fits but not perfectly. The grain is very different and noticeable that this is not OEM. The door doesn't open and close smoothly once installed.

This is a rather cheap injection-molded plastic piece designed to look like the original battery door, but doesn’t really succeed. The texture is different than the original leatherette, and the latch didn’t work at all. I had to use the original latch arm and spring to make it work. Without that, some fitting would have been needed.

We do not have to make modifications at least on this door and it comes with the screw too. Before we only got the door. If customer door broke off the corner we would not be able to install. Keep making them as film cameras are not going to stop being purchased!
