Choosing Your Projector

We offer multiple Kodak Carousel projector models to accommodate different preferences and projection needs. Select the available model and lens configuration that best suits your setup.

Kodak Carousel H-Series Projectors

Models such as the 750H, 760H, 850H, and 860H feature durable metal housings and use 300-watt ELH projection lamps. These models are among our favorites because of their sturdy construction, dependable design, and quieter operation compared with earlier 500-watt models.

The H-series uses a lower-wattage lamp than its predecessors, allowing the cooling fan to operate at a lower speed with less fan noise.

Kodak Carousel 4000 and 5000 Series Projectors

Models such as the 4400, 4600, 5200, 5400, and 5600 feature newer designs with lighter-weight housings. These projectors provide another excellent option for enjoying your slide collection.

Every projector receives the same careful refurbishing process, regardless of the model selected.

Choosing Your Lens

Standard Lens: A practical choice for most home slide projection setups and typical room arrangements.

Zoom Lens: Provides greater flexibility in adjusting the projected image size. A zoom lens can be especially useful when placing the projector farther from the screen or when your room arrangement requires more control over image size.

Select your preferred lens option from the available choices.

Our Refurbishing Process

Every projector undergoes a comprehensive service that includes:

  • Thorough internal cleaning

  • Exterior cleaning

  • Replacement of failed components

  • Replacement of components known to deteriorate or fail with age

  • Lubrication according to Kodak factory service guidelines

  • Testing of all projector functions and features

  • Final operational inspection before shipment

Our goal is to provide a thoroughly serviced projector you can enjoy without the uncertainty often associated with purchasing an untested vintage unit.

What's Included

Each rebuilt projector includes:

  • 1 professionally rebuilt Kodak Carousel slide projector in the selected model

  • 1 lens in the selected configuration

  • 1 power cord

  • 1 remote control cord

  • 1 installed projection lamp

  • 1 additional brand-new projection lamp

Slide trays are sold separately. We strongly recommend genuine Kodak 80-slide trays for reliable operation. We discourage the use of 140-slide trays because they are significantly more prone to feeding problems and slide jams, even in professionally rebuilt projectors.

Warranty & Service Support

We stand behind our refurbished projectors with the following warranty coverage:

  • Consumer Use: 1-year warranty

  • Commercial Use: 90-day warranty

If you experience a problem, we'll first attempt to resolve it through a video call using FaceTime, WhatsApp, or another suitable method.

If your projector needs to be returned for warranty service:

  • Within 30 days of receipt: We cover round-trip shipping and provide a return label.

  • After 30 days: You are responsible for shipping the projector to us, and we cover the return shipping back to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these projectors new or used?

These are original Kodak Carousel slide projectors that have been professionally rebuilt. Each unit is thoroughly cleaned, serviced, and tested before shipment.

Can I choose which Kodak Carousel model I receive?

Yes. Select from the available projector models and configurations before adding your projector to the cart. Availability varies by model.

What is the difference between a standard lens and a zoom lens?

A standard lens is suitable for most projection setups. A zoom lens provides additional flexibility in adjusting the image size without moving the projector.

Does the projector come with everything needed to operate it?

Each projector includes a power cord, remote cord, lens, installed lamp, and an extra brand-new lamp. You will need a compatible slide tray, which is sold separately.

Which slide tray should I use?

We strongly recommend using genuine Kodak 80-slide trays with our rebuilt Carousel projectors. These trays provide the most reliable slide feeding and are our preferred choice for protecting your projector and slides.

We do not recommend using 140-slide trays. Although they may fit and operate in the projector, they are much more prone to feeding problems, slide jams, and other operational issues. We have seen numerous problems associated with these trays, even when used with properly serviced projectors.

For the best performance and to avoid unnecessary frustration or potential damage to your slides or projector, we strongly encourage using Kodak 80-slide trays exclusively.

Why do you recommend the H-series projectors?

The H-series models feature sturdy metal housings and 300-watt ELH lamps. Their durable construction, lamp availability, and quieter cooling systems make them particularly appealing for long-term use.

What does the refurbishing process include?

We clean the projector inside and out, replace failed and failure-prone parts, lubricate the mechanisms according to Kodak service guidelines, and test all functions before shipment.

Does the projector include a warranty?

Yes. We provide a one-year warranty for consumer use and a 90-day warranty for commercial use.

Will the projector look exactly like the product photos?

The photos show representative rebuilt Kodak projectors. Because these are individually refurbished vintage units, the exact appearance, model, and lens may vary according to the option selected.

Can I use this projector for commercial presentations?

Yes. These projectors can be used for presentations and other applications. Commercial-use purchases are covered by our 90-day warranty.

Excellent experience!

Projector is great. We appreciate the advice about which model to order and how to get a stuck carousel off our old one! Also, the slide stacker attachment has been a great help for sorting old slides! Thank you so very much!

Family Memories Come to Light at Last!

I called to inquire about repairing my ancient Carousel Slide Projector but the very nice man explained that a better choice was a refurbished updated model. So that’s what I did and I am so glad that I did! The projector looked like new. I couldn’t wait to try it out. It was like entering a Time Machine seeing those old family slides from long ago and listening to the purring and clicking of my new favorite gadget. Thank you Micro Tools🙏🙏🙏
