I've tried the usual suspects, with slipping thumb screws, and sliding bars. This lens wrench has one easy to use mechanism and interchangeable tips. Nice!

Best Spanner Wrench for Camera and Lenses
I have struggled with the cheap spanner wrenches sold for camera repair on EBay and Amazon. They are terrible. Won’t stay tightened so you’re very prone to slipping and scratching your camera. This one is solid and stays right where you want it. If you want to avoid frustration working on cameras get this one

Needs more interchangeable tips
Build quality is outstanding but there needs to be a greater amount of and variety of sizes of interchangeable tips. The tips provided don't fit any rings among my 12 different cameras.
