Quick Braid Rosin-Fluxed Construction

Quick Braid combines fine copper braiding with rosin flux to promote efficient solder flow into the wick.

The tightly woven, oxide-free copper provides a large surface area for absorbing molten solder. When heated against a solder joint with a soldering iron, the braid draws solder away from the connection through capillary action.

How Desoldering Braid Works

Place the braid directly over the solder you want to remove, then place the heated soldering iron tip against the braid.

As the solder melts, it is drawn into the copper braid. Once the solder has wicked into the braid, remove the iron and braid from the connection together.

After the used section cools, trim it away to expose fresh braid for the next connection.

For best heat transfer, keep the soldering iron tip clean and properly tinned.
